Behind this project is the inspiring story of Joon Bug (aka Joonie B), a one-year-old puppy who is the face and heart of our mission.

On July 3rd, Joon was tragically hit by a car, crushing her pelvis and severely fracturing her leg. After enduring five difficult days, a surgeon was able to save her life, but the injuries necessitated a major leg amputation. Though she recovered bravely from that surgery, bone degeneration in her remaining hind leg may require at least one more complex operation plus physical therapy and other therapeutic modalities.

The overwhelming medical bills led to her being relinquished by her previous owner. Now, our goal is to help cover the thousands of dollars in past debt and secure the future surgical and recovery costs Joon will be needing so that she may have a happy, healthy life!
