"Thirteen years ago I traveled to Tucson to choose a "pet" from a litter of Standard Poodles sired by a nationally and internationally titled star of the poodle world. I picked Albert from among 10 littermates. His breeder convinced me to show him in conformation,  launching an adventure that took me, a novice as green as a cucumber and him, a serious little puppy to a Grand Champion title.

Our journey through grooming, training, and travel forged a relationship of  companionship based on mutual trust and respect.

Grooming a poodle for show is a grueling time consuming process which he endured always with patience,  tolerance, and forgiveness. He has shown himself to be courageous, intelligent, willing, and capable. He and I became partners in a challenging endeavor. He is much more to me than the "pet" I bargained for."
